The challenge

As the Internet has become an extremely crowded environment in today's world, it has become very important for social media and websites to stand out from the crowd. And it is important to stand out both with the quality of your content and with the visual image of the brand. Vertigo is a relatively young website that is only gaining popularity, so they are trying to impress their current audience with new content and of course good content requires good and quality design.

This is a very important aspect because people usually pay attention to visuals first and very often they choose content based on it. So they are trying to improve their visual image to attract the attention of new visitors to the website, because they realized that they are creating interesting and high-quality content, but their design and visuals are not yet fully developed. That's why I happily created artwork for them for new podcasts and Patreon, and also worked on organizing their social networks.

The solution

Creating original and unique content for their new works that look organic and connected to each other and to the website itself, and development of the overall image of the brand.

Brainstorming

Discussing ideas, target audience, competitors with a client. Receiving wishes from the client regarding the project.

Sketching

Creating sketches based on wishes and ideas and presenting them to the client for further work and feedback.

Creating process

Creating a product relying on feedback, ideas and clients needs. Obtaining a final opinion.

Final

Presenting the final product and seeing how it works in real life.

After I created many sketches and presented them to the client, they chose their favorites, which I continued to work on.My next step was choosing colors and improving the illustrations. My main task was to make sure that clients could see how the illustrations would look in the final version, and by looking at them they could easily make their final choice.

At the same time, I started designing Instagram posts for them so that they corresponded to the covers of the podcasts and looked organically together.

Final

Clients were satisfied with the final design and I received a lot of nice feedback about it not only from clients, but also from podcast listeners. In general, the work on each of the covers was unique and interesting in its own way, and I will continue to work with Vertigo in the future. And what was needed to prove, their podcasts gain thousands of views and are among the most popular in Ukraine, not only due to their content and quality, but also due to their design.
